Vietnam, timeless charm! Ho Chi Minh city is so busy, so much traffic everywhere! To escape from the hectic city I booked a tour to the Mekong Delta river. As most of the locals don’t speak English, I recommend you to book a tour with an English tour guide to get the most out of it. My tour guide picked me up at the hotel around seven in the morning and we drove for one hour until we reached a beautiful garden to have a toilet break and breakfast. I enjoyed this garden so much, it was so peaceful and they had amazing lilies . After enjoying this relaxing stop, we continued our way to the Mekong Delta. Once we arrived, we took a small motorboat to visit two islands. The boat tour was so nice and relaxing, as it was quite hot, it was very nice to have a little breeze during this ride. When we arrived at the first island, we visited local families and their fruit plantation, we tried different fruits while listening to some local music. After that, we walked to the other side of the island where we took a local rowing boat to go back to our motor boat. Then we went to another island where we walked around, explored the local houses and had some lunch. On this island, the local families explained us about their businesses. They had coconut factories, fruit plantations, rice factories and bee farms. It was very interesting to learn something about this. After all of this we took the motorboat back where we started and went back to the hotel. I reached the hotel around 4 in the afternoon. Unfortunately I didn’t have more time to visit more of this diverse city!
